HUBLI: People of Hubli-Dharwad and Belgaum are likely to face severe cold in the coming days as the temperature of the regions is dipping daily. On Tuesday early morning, Belgaum recorded 11.6 deg C which is lowest in the state while Dharwad recorded a minimum temperature of 12.5 deg C.
On Monday early morning, Dharwad recorded 13.7 deg C which was lowest in the state on November 11, and on Tuesday morning it dipped to 12.5 deg C.

The temperature of these cities has been falling since the past one week. Dharwad recorded 18.3 deg C to 12.5 deg C in the past one week. In 2012, Dharwad recorded 9.5 deg C, said to be the lowest temperature in the past couple of years.
Even temperature in Belgaum has been falling for the past one week from 18.6 deg C to 12.5 deg C. In 2012, Belgaum recorded 7.7 deg C which was the lowest recorded temperature in the last 10 years.
The temperatures were appreciably below normal at many places over north Karnataka.
Shanta K, a retired government servant, said usually the cold wave would hit the region from the fist week of December. "It appears the cold wave has set early this year. As I suffer from arthritis problem, the weather is aggravating it. I don't step out till 10am these days,'' she said.
Veeresh, a private firm employee of Dharwad, said: "I have stopped going jogging. I have never witnessed such cold weather in recent years.''
According to the Indian Meteorological Department of Bangalore, the temperature will continue to dip in the coming days and the region may see record minimum temperature in December.
